MY STRATEGIC MEETINGS
& EVENTS APPROACH
I don’t approach events as one-off projects. I lead them as
strategic business programs.
Over the past 20+ years, I’ve built and operated large-scale meeting and event portfolios for corporations, agencies, and global organizations ranging from executive leadership summits to multi-venue conferences and citywide programs serving tens of thousands of attendees.
My approach is rooted in governance, strategy, and performance. That means every program is designed to:
- Align to business and revenue goals
- Operate with clear decision frameworks and financial controls
- Scale across teams, markets, and portfolios
- Deliver exceptional experiences without sacrificing operational discipline
- Continuously improve through data, insights, and executive review
This operating model is how I ensure programs are not just well-produced, but well-managed, measurable, and defensible at the executive level.
My Event Operating
Framework
This is the system I use to design and run high-performing event programs end-to-end.
It balances strategy, experience, operations, risk, and results while giving stakeholders confidence,
visibility, and control throughout the lifecycle of a program.
Business Alignment & Program Strategy
Every program starts with clarity. I work with stakeholders to align on business goals, audience strategy, success metrics, budget parameters, and executive expectations. This phase establishes the strategic purpose of the event, defines what success looks like, and creates the governance structure that guides every decision that follows.
Outcome: Clear objectives, defined success metrics, aligned stakeholders, and a program built for impact.
Program Intake & Planning Infrastructure
Strong programs require strong systems. I establish structured intake, scoping, prioritization, and planning workflows that allow teams to move quickly without losing control. This includes timelines, workplans, ownership models, and decision frameworks that keep complex programs organized and on track.
Outcome: Clear scope, realistic timelines, aligned resources, and disciplined delivery.
Supplier Strategy & Commercial Execution
I treat sourcing and contracts as strategic levers, not just logistics. From venues to production to registration and agencies, I lead supplier strategy, negotiations, and contracting with a focus on value, risk management, and financial accountability. This ensures the program is both high-quality and fiscally responsible.
Outcome: Strong partners, controlled risk, optimized spend, and reliable execution.
Experience Design & Go-To-Market Execution
Great events don’t happen by accident. They’re designed. I oversee the full experience architecture, including agenda flow, content, registration, communications, branding, and attendee journey. I also ensure tight alignment with marketing and sales so the event supports pipeline, engagement, and business outcomes.
Outcome: A cohesive, intentional experience that supports both brand and business goals.
Live Program Operations
Execution is where trust is earned. I lead on-site operations with a calm, solutions-first mindset, managing teams, vendors, speakers, and stakeholders in real time. My focus is protecting the experience, managing risk, and ensuring the program runs seamlessly no matter what changes or challenges arise.
Outcome: Confident delivery, smooth execution, and stakeholder peace of mind.
Performance Measurement & Optimization
Events should perform, not just happen. I define KPIs, lead post-event reporting, and facilitate stakeholder debriefs to evaluate performance against goals such as engagement, pipeline influence, experience quality, and operational efficiency. Insights are then fed back into future program design.
Outcome: Clear ROI, actionable insights, and continuous improvement.
